I’m Dee Muchmore, a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist, holding the HPD, DSFH, MNCH (Reg.) and AfSFH (Reg.) qualifications.
I trained with Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training (CPHT), widely regarded as the gold standard in solution focused hypnotherapy training. I hold both the Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH) and the Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD).
I've always believed there's a quiet kind of magic in everyday life.
The steam rising from a cup of tea. Rain tapping on the window. Birdsong on a morning walk. A smile from a stranger. These simple moments remind me to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with myself. They remind me that joy isn't something we have to find, it's in the ordinary moments all around us.
For years though, I struggled to feel that joy. Living with chronic pain left me anxious, exhausted and disconnected from myself. Discovering hypnotherapy changed everything. It helped me quiet my mind, ease my pain, and remember who I was.
That experience inspired me to become a hypnotherapist.
Today, I help women experiencing medical and health anxiety find calm, rebuild confidence, and reconnect with themselves. My approach isn't about 'fixing' you because I don't believe you're broken. It's about helping you uncover the strength, resilience and peace that are already within you.
Originally from Australia, I've happily called Scotland home for many years. Before becoming a hypnotherapist, I worked in whisky and tourism, but these days you'll usually find me out in nature, lost in a good book, singing along to my favourite music, or with a frame drum in my hands, letting the rhythm quiet my mind. More often than not, my cat Cirrus isn't far away.
Life isn't always fair, I know that from experience. But I also know we can change how we meet it.
If you're ready to begin the journey back to yourself, I'd be honoured to walk beside you.
