So this may surprise you, but driving anxiety is one of the most common things clients come to me for help with. And seeing so many women struggle with driving anxiety, I’ve noticed there’s often so much more going on beneath the surface than anyone really talks about.

From the outside it can look small. It’s 'just driving', something you may’ve done for years. Something other people seem to do without thinking.

And part of you understands that, but that doesn’t stop what happens in your body.

The rush of panic when you join a motorway. The feeling of being trapped when you can’t pull over. The awareness of speed, of other cars, of not being fully in control. The what if thoughts that appear out of nowhere.

And once that fear has been there even once, you start anticipating it.

You might avoid certain roads, certain routes, or driving altogether unless you have to. And over time, your world can start to shrink.

And it’s not just about the driving. It’s the loss of independence. The frustration of not feeling like yourself. The pressure to just 'get over it'.
