OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder) can be exhausting in ways that are difficult to explain to someone who hasn’t experienced it.

It’s not always about being tidy or organised. Often, it’s about feeling unable to trust your own thoughts, needing certainty when life can’t offer it, or being caught in a cycle of doubt that you can’t seem to switch off.

Maybe you replay conversations, question your memories, or worry that you’ve said or done something terrible. You might feel the need to check things repeatedly, seek reassurance from loved ones, or go over something in your mind until it feels just right. Even when you get a moment of relief, the doubt often finds its way back in.

OCD can quietly take over your life, making everyday tasks more difficult, affecting your concentration at work, and leaving you mentally exhausted. It can impact your relationships, too, leaving you seeking constant reassurance or keeping your thoughts to yourself because you’re frightened of what they might mean.

If this feels familiar, I want you to know that having a thought doesn’t make it true, and it doesn’t define who you are. You don’t have to face this alone.

My approach is supportive, practical, and focused on helping you break free from the cycles that keep OCD going. Together, we’ll work on changing your relationship with intrusive thoughts, reducing the need to check or seek reassurance, and helping you feel more comfortable with uncertainty, without judgement or shame.

The goal isn’t to have a mind that never produces an unwanted thought. It’s to reach a place where those thoughts have less power over you, so you can spend less time caught up in your head and more time enjoying the things that matter.

You deserve to feel present in your relationships, confident in everyday life, and free to be yourself.

If OCD is affecting your peace of mind, your relationships, or your ability to enjoy everyday life, I’m here to help. Get in touch to find out how we can work together towards a calmer mind and a life that feels more like your own.
